The client faced regulatory challenges due to fragmented enterprise architecture. There was no leading source of regulatory information, duplicated data, and one-off interfaces with multiple processes/systems. 

  • Client – missed sales opportunity resulting in loss of millions of revenues annually and no patient engagement.
  • Physician – lost revenues from missed IUD procedures resulting in dissatisfaction with the client.
  • Patient – either missed IUD procedure or switched to a competitor product resulting in loss of patient for the client.

Solution

  • Defined a framework for Enterprise IM
  • Performed assessment of current state enterprise architecture against Enterprise IM framework
  • Identified gaps and recommended future state architecture for regulatory
  • Recommendations included product master, implementing Service Bus, creating a data warehouse for RIM, integrating sophisticated RIM analytics capabilities, and developed a road map.

Impact

We successfully defined the architecture and vision for the client, and they accepted Orion’s recommendations for a multi-year RIM transformation initiative.
